According to the Czech law (Act no. 159/99 Coll.), all the organizers of tours longer than 24 hours (i.e. travel agencies) have to be A) licensed by the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic (Ministerstvo pro místní rozvoj ČR) and B) have valid Insolvency Insurance Policy in place. Discovering Prague & CZ complies with both of these requirements.
What difference does it make to me?
This means that I am a qualified tourism professional and the insurance guarantees 100% of your money back if the trip you paid for doesn’t go ahead (applies only to trips longer than 24 hours). You can also claim a partial refund if a promised service or program is not delivered.
You can find me on the website of Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna (Czech Business Insurance Company) in the list of insured tour operators under the name PharmDr. Filip Novák (according to statement from the Trade Register). You can see the current certificate of insurance (in Czech) here.
Tour contract
We are also legally required to sign a contract with every participant of our trips insured according to the Act no. 159/99 Coll.
