Paraphrasing the title of Daniel Kahneman’s book, this hike is 2 in 1. Two routes, two groups of hikers (fast and slow) and one beautiful landscape on the southern outskirts of Prague.
WHEN: Sunday 11.06.2017
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Brezanske udoli (Brezanske Valley) – lovely forested valley in the southernmost tip of Prague with some great lookouts!
- Tocna airport – admire Prague’s skyline from a different angle!
- After-hike lunch and socializing in Komorany
- Last but not least the company of friendly international people of Discovering Prague meetup!
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium (includes uneven terrain and steep ascents) – manageable by a healthy city-dweller/office worker who is used to walking
MEETING TIME & LOCATION: At 9:00 AM, Prague Main Railway Station, by the Ticket Office

Hey Discoverers,
for the name of this hiking event, I paraphrased the title of my favourite book: Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman :)
I did it because this hike is 2 in 1, designed for both fast and slow hikers and walkers!
You will be able to choose which group you wish to join: Hobby hikers lead by myself and Sporty hikers lead by our lovely co-organizer Elena. Both groups share the majority of the route, but the Sport group hike is 4 kilometers longer. You’ll be able to swap your group during the hike, if you feel that your chosen group is too fast or slow.

LOGISTICS
We will meet on Sunday 11th June at 9:00 AM in front of the ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station.
Meeting point in the Prague Main Railway Station.
On the train we will split into 2 hiking squads: The Sport group lead by Elena. Elena’s group will get off the train at Praha-Komorany, Filip’s Hobby group will continue one more stop to Zbraslav.
Sport group’s hike will be 11 km long with 330 meters of elevation. The Hobby’s group hike will be 7 km with 300 meters of elevation.
In the end, we’ll all meet at Restaurace U Drevaku in Komorany for lunch together!
WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU:
Sturdy walking shoes (the trail is uneven at places), Litacka/monthly ticket/2×24 CZK ticket for the train, water, a small snack, sunscreen and insect repellent.
