Sv. Jan pod Skalou (St. John under the Cliff) is the most picturesque places near Prague and one of the most beautiful in the whole of the Czech Republic. This trip combines 8 km long hike in the woods of Cesky kras with sightseeing and natural history.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Enjoy pleasant walk in the early spring forest
- Great view from the Cliff looming 200 meters over the Sv. Jan village
- Visit to the church of St. John the Baptist and the cave of St. Ivan (admission included)

LOGISTICS: We’re meeting on Sunday April 8th at 8:45 am inside of the Prague Main Train Station, in front of the ticket office. See the photo below:
After the hike, we’ll have lunch in Sv. Jan pod Skalou and then travel back to Prague by bus.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium (about 8 km of hiking with a steep ascent and descent)
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: Sturdy walking shoes with good grip for walking on rocks, water & snack
PRICE: 290Kc or 90Kc with Discovery Pass
Includes train/bus fare both ways, admission to the church of St. John the Baptist, guiding and organization.
