This will likely be the last canoeing trip of the season, so don’t miss it! We are going to run a quiet section of the Sázava river near Prague.
The group size is limited to 15 people.

Hey Discoverers!
You are cordially invited to the probably last canoeing trip of this summer! To top-off the season, I chose an easy and relatively short section of the Sázava river from from the town of Sázava to Chocerady.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium
About 11 km / 7 miles, rapids-free stretch of the river. There are 2 weirs*, both with a canal for canoers.
The trip is suitable for people who haven’t canoed before as long as they can swim. You should also be somewhat physically coordinated and have patience to learn a new motor skill. I’m not a certified instructor but I have taught countless people the basics of canoeing.
* A weir is little dam used to regulate the flow of the river.
Wearing a life-jacket is mandatory (will be provided).
LOGISTICS
We will meet on Sunday 23rd August at 8:00 AM in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station.
We’ll be aiming to be back in Prague by 19:00. However, we will be as fast as the slowest members of our group and an unexpected delay is possible. This is a full-day event.
What to bring with you
Shoes to wear in water (sandals, or you can buy special shoes for walking in water), wear clothes which dry fast (NOT jeans), sunscreen, spare T-shirt, trousers and underwear (in case your canoe capsizes), towel, swimwear, bottle of water and a small snack. Put all your staff to a small compact bag – we will put all our belongings into water-proof barrels and they are not very large.
Keep your phone in a waterproof case and have glasses on a string while on the river!
