Hello Discoverers!

I’d like to cordially invite you to my traditional Christmas hike.

It will be about 10 km long and we will explore interesting places along the north-western fringe of Prague.

The route will end in Dejvice at the St. Matthew Church (sv. Matěj). Every year at Christmas time they display a nativity scene made of gingerbread (perníkové jesličky).

We should arrive there around 13:30.

DIFFICULTY: Medium

Around 10 km/6.5 miles, on paved and unpaved streets and foot trails. There will be around 270 meters of vertical gain (2 hills to walk up).

Beware that if it’s under the freezing point on the day, the trail will be slippery at places, if it’s above, we will enjoy some festive mud :)

MEETING TIME & LOCATION

We will meet at 9:50 am at the Masaryk Railway Station (Masarykovo nádraží), in the station hall, by the departures board. If you can not find us call me at +420 739 370 212.

Don’t be late, our train leaves at 10:12!

The train ride to the starting point of the hike takes only about 10 minutes.

BRING WITH YOU

• Prague “Lítačka” card or a validated 1×24 CZK ticket for the train ride. Beware: SMS tickets are not valid on trains!
• Comfortable walking shoes with good grip.
• An umbrella or rain coat if rain is expected.
• Water & snack
• Christmas festive mood :)
