Koniklec (Pulsatilla) is a lovely little plant, blossoming around Easter, hence its English name Pasque Flower.
A good place to see it is the natural reserve Pitkovická stráň on the south-eastern edge of Prague.
We will meet at the Main Train Station (hlavní nádraží) and take a train to Prague – Kolovraty. You will only need Prague Lítačka card / paper coupon or a validated 30 CZK ticket to board the train.
From Kolovraty, we will walk across meadows, along a creek, through a couple of villages and a forest. All within the Botič – Milíčov Natural Park.
Apart from the last 500 meters and one viewing point overlooking the cityscape in the distance, you won’t feel like being in Prague at all.
Around 10 km/6 miles, on paved and unpaved streets and foot trails. Mostly flat, in total about 90 meters / 300 ft of elevation gain.
We will meet at 10:15 am at the Main Train Station (the usual spot on the lower ground floor in front of the ticket office – PHOTO). If you can not find us call me at +420 739 370 212.
Don’t be late, our train leaves at 10:35!
We should complete the route by 14:00. The end point will be at “Háje” from where you can easily get back to the centre by the metro.
Comfortable walking shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. An umbrella or raincoat if rain is expected.

Hey Discoverers,
I would like to invite you to a walk across parts of Prague 6 and 5 between Bořislavka and Anděl.
We will visit the picturesque neighborhood of Staré Střešovice and several other points of interest, one of them being the Strahov Stadium, considered the largest in the world!
Around 9 km and 150 meters of vertical gain, mostly on paved trails and streets. Quite a lot of stairs (both up and down) and some cobbled streets!

Hello guys!
This Netwalk will take you to “Draháň”, a less-known, yet very beautiful valley in the very north of the city.
This will be more a hike than a walk, because almost the entire route will be on unpaved trails in the woods and meadows. Take a pair of good walking shoes!
About 8 km / 5 mi long route with 150 meters / 500 ft of elevation gain, mostly on unpaved, potentially muddy or icy hiking trails.
We will meet at 10:20 am at the Masaryk Railway Station (Masarykovo nádraží), in the station hall, by the departures board. If you can not find us call me at +420 739 370 212.
Don’t be late, our train leaves at 10:42!
We will travel within Prague city limits – you will need Prague Lítačka Card or a validated 30 CZK ticket.
After the hike, around 14:00, we will go for (optional) lunch in the Chinese Restaurant in Čimice. Menu: http://bambuszahrada.cz/menu-2/
There is a frequent bus connection to the Kobylisy “C” metro.
Pay online on DP website (Add to Cart -> View Cart -> Checkout)
or just show up and pay in cash (or by Sodexo Flexi Pass or Edenred Multi Benefits vouchers).

Happy New Year Discoverers!
For the first Netwalk of 2022, we will explore the beautiful Hvězda Park in the west of the city. It was established in the 16th century as a royal game reserve.
We will admire the magnificent old trees and the renaissance palace, built in the shape of a 6-pointed star, which gave the area its name (hvězda means ‘star’ in Czech).
The walk will end around 12:30 in Břevnov where you can catch a tram back to the city centre. But before that, I hope you will join me for an after-the-walk meal and/or drink!
Around 7 km / 4 miles and 90 meters / 300 ft of vertical gain.
At 10:00 outside of the Nadraží Veleslavín metro A station, on the airport bus 119 stop.
If you can not find us, call me at +420 739 370 212.
