Netwalking is networking while walking and talking. Let’s stretch our legs and have a friendly chat!
Every week we walk some 7-8 km in parks and quiet streets of Prague and top-off the walk with a drink or meal in a pub.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN

- You will get to know the city better. There are so many interesting places everywhere in Prague, not just in the historic city centre.

Hello Discoverers!
After a long time (apologies!), I would like to invite you to another Sunday walk!
We will explore the riverbanks and river islands of Prague 7 and 8 and enjoy a stroll on Prague’s newest river crossing, the Štvanická lávka, aka HolKa footbridge (because it connects Holešovice and Karlín).
With the help of old pictures and maps I will tell you how this part of Prague went from idyllic countryside to bustling commercial harbors and shipyards and later to luxurious residential districts and office parks.
You will be surprised that despite all the recent development and the proximity of the city center, there is still plenty of “inner periphery” left with greenery and hidden nooks and corners to discover.
I recommend walking shoes and long trousers so you don’t get bitten by the occasional nettles.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium
Around 7 km/4 miles, on paved and unpaved streets and foot trails. No hills.
MEETING POINT
We will meet at 10:00 outside of the E6 exit from the Palmovka metro B station – https://en.mapy.cz/s/famocekopa
We should complete the route by 13:00. The end point will be near “Nádraží Holešovice” metro C. As always, I’m going to book a restaurant for after-the-walk lunch.
BRING WITH YOU
Comfortable walking shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. An umbrella or raincoat if rain is expected.
