Hello Hikers!
Let’s make the most of the Indian summer and hike in the beautifully coloured deciduous woods of Český kras (Bohemian Karst)
The destination of this cca 11 km long hike is one of the most picturesque places near Prague – the village of Sv. Jan pod Skalou (St. John under the Cliff)!
But you will see a lot more and have a bit of underground adventure as well! I can recommend this trip to even those of you who have been hiking in the Český kras many times because I will show places you haven’t seen yet!
LOGISTICS & PLAN OF THE DAY
We will meet at 9:00 AM inside of the Prague Main Train Station, in front of the ticket office. See the photo below:
After the hike, we’ll have lunch in Sv. Jan pod Skalou and then travel to Prague – Zličín by bus.
You will need to bring enough cash as the card payments in the restaurant don’t work very well!
We should arrive at the Zličín metro B station at 18:45. As always, a delay is possible, so avoid planning anything important for after the trip!
DIFFICULTY: Medium
A relatively demanding, 11 km long route with 350 meters / 1150 ft of altitude gain. It will include a little bit of climbing and some cave exploration (both optional and strictly at your own risk!).
FOOD
You will only be able to buy food and drink at the start and at the end of the hike. Bring enough water and some high-energy snacks!
I’ve planned a picnic stop along the way.
What else to bring with you
Sturdy walking shoes with good grip for walking on slippery rocks, water & snack
Take a torch or flashlight for cave exploration or at least have your phone well charged!

Includes train/bus fare both ways, the trip research and pre-walking, guiding and organization. And a little snack for you to eat!
Children under 16 pay 150 CZK (create a separate order for them an enter ‘child16’ coupon code at the checkout)
