Let’s have a nice walk in the forest combined with blueberry picking! We will travel by a private bus to an off the beaten path area to fill our casks with blueberries and other summer berries. If the weather is wet we might find some mushrooms too!

DIFFICULTY: EASY (about 10 km of walking in the forest at your own pace)

Hello Discoverers!
Let’s have a nice walk in the forests of western Bohemia. I will take you to my uncle’s favourite blueberry picking area. If the weather is right, i.e warm and humid, we should be able to find plenty of mushrooms as well.
LOGISTICS
We will meet on Saturday July 1 at 8:00 AM at the bus stop in front of Akcent Hotel, Stroupeznickeho 1, Praha 5 – Smichov. It is immediately outside of metro B station Andel, exit Na Knizeci. Photo of the meeting point is below.
What to bring with you: Wear forest-friendly comfortable clothes which will protect you from ticks, scratches, nettle bites and so on. Preferably closed shoes and long trousers. Don’t worry about being too hot. It will be cooler in the shade of the forest. Take an insect repellent and sunscreen. Some antihistamine cream (e.g. Fenistil gel) might come handy as well.
Take a sturdy container with you so you don’t end up bringing home blueberry puree instead of blueberries. If you intend to look for mushrooms too, bring a small pocket knife for cleaning and a basket. It is not good to carry mushrooms in a plastic bag!
Lunch: Bring packed lunch and water.
We should arrive back to Prague by 7:00 pm

This includes comfortable transport by bus chartered for our group, myself as your guide and all the berries and mushrooms you can pick during the day :)
