Hello Discoverers!
Šumava (also known as Bohemian Forest in English) is my most favourite part of the Czech Republic outside of Prague. Probably because as a child, I used to go there every summer for three weeks on a great summer camp.
During this hike you will experience two typical landscapes of Šumava. Firstly the plains and moorlands of the uplands and then the wild mountain rivers which drain water from the bogs to the lowlands. The route of the hike is on traffic-free, hiking-only trails, mostly within the first zone of the national park (i.e. the most valuable and most protected part).
PLAN OF THE DAY & TRAIL DESCRIPTION
Please read attentively!
We are going to meet at 7:45 am at the bus stop in front of Akcent Hotel, Stroupeznickeho 1, Praha 5 – Smichov. It is immediately outside of the metro B station Andel, exit Na Knizeci.

We will travel by a privately chartered small bus. The journey to the trailhead takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
FOOD
Bring at least 1,5 l of water and a packed lunch and snack to eat during the day!
Expected arrival back to Prague is around 9:00 pm but a delay is possible. Don’t plan anything important after the trip!
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium
(about 15 km of walking but only flat or downhill). See the altitude profile of the route below.

The price includes comfortable transport by a private bus, trip research including route pre-walking, two knowledgeable local guides including myself and photos from the trip.
Children under 16 pay 450 CZK (create a separate order for them an enter ‘child16’ coupon code at the checkout)
