Easy Sunday hike to one of the most popular “weekend cottage” areas near Prague – Posazavi (Along the Sazava River).

HIGHLIGHTS:
Very pleasant downhill walk along the Mnichovka Creek
Ruins of the Zlenice Castle by the Sazava River
LENGTH: 7 km of hiking, mostly flat, no steep ascents
DIFFICULTY: EASY (i.e. (suitable for people who are new to hiking and want to built-up their stamina)
MEETING TIME & LOCATION: Sunday March 19, 8:30 AM in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station

Hello Hikers!
I would like to invite you for an easy Sunday hike to one of the most popular “weekend cottage” areas near Prague – Posazavi (Along the Sazava River).
LOGISTICS
We will meet on Sunday 19th of March at 8:30 am at the Prague Main Train Station in the ticket hall. (Our train leaves at 9:07 am.)
Please allow extra time to get to the meeting point – public transport is less frequent on Sundays. I recommend to use the journey planner to find your connection.
After 40 minutes on the train we will get off in Mirosovice where the hike starts. The route is fairly easy and relaxing. Only 7 km of walking, steadily downhill along the creek. However, most of it is unpaved and still muddy at places due to the snow melting. Keep this in mind when selecting your clothes and footwear. The hike ends in the village of Ctyrkoly where we will take a train back to Prague
HIGHLIGHTS:

As usual, after the hike there will be an optional lunch. This time, I’ve booked Restaurace U Certa in Ctyrkoly from 1 pm.
There is an hourly train to Prague and the restaurant is about 400 meters from the station. The restaurant group will aim for train at 2:06 pm which arrives at Prague at 2:52 pm.

PRICE: 100 CZK or 50 CZK with the Discovery Pass!
Includes the train fare one way Prague – Mirosovice, myself as your guide and the meetup contribution. You’ll need to buy the train ticket from Ctyrkoly to Prague individually as per your preference of staying for lunch or travelling back to Prague straight after the hike. (You will buy the ticket from the conductor on the train).
I’m planning to buy a one-way group ticket from Prague Main Station so for the outbound travel you don’t need to worry about Open Card/Litacka etc.
