I’d like to invite all wild nature lovers and tranquility seekers to a very special trip! We will canoe on Teplá Vltava in the 1.zone of the National Park Šumava where the river meanders through highland meadows, peatbogs and woods.
Canoeing in the national park is restricted and paying a registration fee for each boat is required. This makes the trip more expensive than our previous excursions on water, however I’m sure that it is worth it!
DIFFICULTY: Medium
About 30 km of canoeing in two days. The river is easy (ZWB to WWI) and there are no weirs however, previous canoeing experience is recommended.
What is absolutely necessary though, is willingness to withstand unfavourable weather because this trip will go ahead even if it is cold and rainy (very common in Šumava).
You will be rewarded by a very special experience!

LOGISTICS
We will meet at 6:45 am (!) at Na Knížecí bus station (metro B “Anděl”)
The journey to the starting point will take about 4 hours (by bus and train)
Expected return to Prague is on Sunday at 20:30.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Sleeping bag (bedding is NOT provided)
Shoes for walking in water, towel
Raincoat (poncho-type is practical for canoeing)
Hat
Warm clothes for the evening/night
Insect repellent
COVID-19
For checking-in to accommodation, one should be fully vaccinated (at least 14 days after), or have a negative test or had Covid in the past 180 days.
The staff is required to check the above. PCR and ATG tests are available to people with Czech health insurance for free.
The same rules apply for eating in restaurants, but restaurant staff doesn’t have to check.

The price includes all travel from Prague to Šumava and back (train and bus), camp site accommodation (in cabins for 4 people with bathroom in the main building, heating possible with firewood), canoeing equipment rental including life jacket, registration fee for canoeing in the National Park Šumava, mandatory Travel Agency Insurance against bankruptcy and photos from the trip.
Children under 16 pay 2050 Kč (create a separate order for them an enter ‘child16’ coupon code at the checkout). The trip is suitable for sporty children from 12 years up.
