I would like to invite you to another weekend in the fresh mountain air! For the first time, we are going to hike in Jeseníky, the highest mountains of Moravia!
We will trek along the main ridge of Hrubý (High) Jeseník to the peak of Mt. Praděd (1491 m a.s.l.). There is a TV transmitter, and its top is the highest fixed artificial point in the Czech Republic, exceeding Sněžka by 35 meters!
This cool building also serves as a restaurant, hotel and hostel. And we will stay there overnight!
Don’t hesitate and reserve your place because the group size is limited to 8 people.
LOGISTICS
Meeting on Saturday at 7:45 at the Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží).
The train journey to the starting point of the hike takes about 4 hours.
Expected return: Sunday at 21:00, also at the Main Train Station
DIFFICULTY: Medium to Demanding
(Will challenge most hikers. Good health and physical fitness is necessary)
This 2-day trek will involve 35 km of hiking and ascending some 1200 vertical metres (4000 ft). On top of that, you will need to maintain a good hiking speed to complete the route in the allocated time. If you usually walk at a steady but slow pace, this trip is too hard for you.
What to take with you
Sturdy hiking shoes, windproof/waterproof jacket, hat (to protect you from sun and/or wind), sun screen, pyjamas/comfortable clothes for sleeping, toiletries and a towel.
Do NOT bring a sleeping bag.
Please note:
The trip will go ahead in all weather conditions, unless a safety warning is issued by the mountain rescue service. Please dress appropriately.

The price includes all travel (train and bus), accommodation at Hotel Vysílač Praděd (hostel style, i.e. bunk beds and shared bathroom, bedding is provided), Sunday breakfast, mandatory Travel Agency Insurance against bankruptcy and photos from the trip.
Children under 16 pay 1790 Kč (create a separate order for them an enter ‘child16’ coupon code at the checkout). The trip is suitable for sporty children from 12 years up.
Possible extra cost
If the visibility is good, it would be a pity not to go up the lookout tower on Praděd. The viewing platform is the second highest point in the Czech Republic and when the weather is good, the view is amazing! The admission is 150 Kč.
