Holá Discoverers!
Let’s climb the 95 meters/311 ft high “Pastyrska stena” sandstone cliff in the city of Decin in northern Bohemia! You don’t need to be a climber nor bring a rope. The rock is fitted with 14 via ferrata – protected climbing routes of different difficulty grades. Unusually, it’s located right in the town center, offering bird-eye views of the Decin Castle and the surrounding Elbe valley.
We will meet at 8:00 am at Prague Main Station (at our usual place in front of the ticket office, see the photo below).
The train ride to Decin takes approximately 90 minutes. After arriving under the cliff (situated about 10 minutes walk from the train station), we will first pick up and learn how to use the climbing sets. You will be briefed about the safety rules on the via ferrata and off you climb!
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:
Wear closed shoes with non-slippery soles (running trainers or regular walking shoes, NOT walking boots or sandals), bring sunglasses, sunscreen, spare T-shirt, bottle of water, an energy bar or small snack. If you have, bring a pair of cycling or gym gloves.
Put everything to a small backpack you will be able to climb with.
PRICE: 690Kc or 490Kc with Discovery Pass
Includes train fare both ways, via ferrata climbing set rental, guiding and organization.
This event is suitable for children from 12 years! (Supervised by an adult)
Please note: This event is weather-dependent. Via ferrata can not be climbed when the rock is wet.
I look forward to climbing with you!
Cheers,
Filip
