Hey Everyone!
You are cordially invited to join me on another Sunday Netwalking event!
We will meet at the Main Train Station and take a 20-min ride on a vintage diesel train from the 1950’s on the most scenic railway of the Czech capital – the Prague Semmering.
We will get off the train in the middle of the natural park Košíře-Motol in the west of Prague and embark on a 6 km long hike.
Along the way we will ascend the oldest lookout tower in Prague and discover an interesting view point as well (the title photo of this event was taken from there).
We’ll also see the dilapidated 19th century manor house Cibulka which is now being restored thanks to the foundation of the Avast CEO Mr. Vlček and his wife. They plan to turn it into a hospice for children (More at https://nrv.org/).
About 6 km long walk, almost 200 meters / 650 ft of vertical gain (brace for walking up a steep hill)
We will meet at 10:15 am at the Prague Main Train Station, in front of the main ticket office on the lower ground floor.
Don’t be late, our train leaves at 10:36!
If you can not find us, call me at +420 739 370 212.
Prague “Lítačka” card or a validated 1×24 CZK ticket for the train ride. Beware: SMS tickets are not valid on trains!

The Buddhist temple in SAPA is one of two in Prague
Ahoj Discoverers!
For this Sunday Netwalking event, we will walk & talk in the lovely Kunratice forest and visit Sapa – the “little Hanoi” of Prague.
Sapa (named after the town in north Vietnam) is the largest trading and cultural center of the Czech Vietnamese community. It is located on the southern outskirts of the Capital in Prague 4 – Libuš.
Sapa is definitely NOT the most beautiful part of town, however, the place is worth vising. Even more so, if you’re a fan of Vietnamese food.
Besides, the Czech Vietnamese community is a phenomenon, you should certainly learn more about!
Around 9 km and 2 short hills (about 100 meters of vertical gain in total), some 50% on unpaved, potentially muddy trails. Wearing good walking shoes is necessary.
We will meet at 10:00 am outside of the metro C station Roztyly
If you can not find us, call me at +420 739 370 212.
The walk will end in SAPA. The nearest bus stop is “Sídliště Písnice” with buses to the Kačerov and Smíchovské nádraží metro.
Hope you will join me for lunch in my favourite SAPA restaurant! But beware, you will need to present to the restaurant staff a negative test or vaccination certificate!

Hey Discoverers!
We haven’t been this year in Divoká Šárka, the most beautiful nature reserve of Prague. So, let’s go now while there are still some traces of autumn colours left.
I will take you on a tour of the most scenic places of the area. You will be in good hands. I’ve been going to Šárka my whole life and I know it very well.
Around 10 km, uneven and slippery terrain, muddy and wet at places (wearing good walking shoes is essential)
We will meet at 10:00 am outside of the McDonald’s restaurant near the tram terminus “Divoká Šárka”.
If you can not find us, call me at +420 739 370 212.
The walk will end at the same place where we started around 13:30.
Hope you will join me for the usual after-the-walk lunch! But beware, you will need to present to the restaurant staff a negative test or vaccination certificate!

Hello Discoverers!
Let’s explore the wild and desolate area separating Letná from Holešovice!
Officially called “Bubny-Zátory, these 110 hectares of urban wilderness is supposed to be eventually transformed into a glamorous new district for 25 thousand residents.
But in the present, it is no man’s land, a periphery near the centre, inner city countryside, huge open space where the sky is undisturbed by high buildings.
In the heart of the district is the long defunct train station Praha – Bubny. The trains carrying Prague Jews to extermination camps were dispatched from here. The first transport left exactly 80 years ago this month. After the liberation, the station experienced the expulsion of Prague Germans.
A memorial with a museum is planned to be built here soon.
Unlike a “regular” Netwalk, you will get more commentary and the walk will be shorter, only about 5 km. Our guide will be Michal Hartl, life-long resident of Prague 7, local enthusiast and a professional guide.
What remains the same is the after-the-walk lunch in a nice local restaurant. Hope you will join us!
Around 5 km, mostly flat, but uneven and slippery terrain (wearing good closed walking shoes is essential)
We will meet at 10:00 am outside of the Metro C “Vltavská” station in front of the mural.
If you can not find us, call me at +420 739 370 212.
Don’t be late, the train won’t wait for you!
The walk will end near Nádraží Holešovice around 12:30

Ahoj Netwalkers!
I’d like to invite you for an easy walk in the Nature Park Říčanka in the south-east of the capital. It is the last of the 11 Prague nature parks we haven’t visited yet!
Despite being within the Prague city limits, the area is very rural – mostly fields, meadows and ponds, smaller and larger forests.
We will meet at the Main Train Station and take a train to Prague – Uhříněves. You will only need a Prague Lítačka card / paper coupon or a validated 24 CZK ticket to board the train.
About 10 km, flat (only 19 meters / 60 ft of vertical gain)
Mostly unpaved trail, muddy when wet.
We will meet at 9:45 am at the Main Train Station (lower ground floor, in front of the ticket office, see the pic below).
If you can not find us, call me at +420 739 370 212.
Don’t be late, the train won’t wait for you!
End point: Praha – Běchovice Train Station. There are twice hourly trains to the Masaryk Train Station (16 min travel time) and frequent buses to several metro stations (Palmovka, Černý most and more).

Ahoj Netwalkers!
After a summer break, I’d like to invite to another Netwalking event!
We will walk to the well-known Unětice Brewery for one (or two) beers and nice lunch. You’ll see that it is easily walkable from the Veleslavín metro A station!
We’ll first cross the picturesque Šárka valley, then the Prague Plateau to Horoměřice, and the last section will be a hike in the rocky and forested Kozí hřbety ended by a steep descent to Unětice.
After the lunch in the Brewery, we will take a bus back to Prague. The bus fare to Dejvická metro is 22Kč with Lítačka or 30Kč without.
About 10 km with 165 meters of vertical gain, one steep descent and uneven rocky terrain at Kozí hřbety.
Wearing comfortable walking shoes is a must! Consider using an insect repellent to keep ticks away.
