Netwalking is networking while walking and talking. Let’s stretch our legs and have a friendly chat!
Every week we walk some 7-8 km in parks and quiet streets of Prague and top-off the walk with a drink or meal in a pub.

Saturday Walk along Brusnice

Hello Discoverers!
On this walk, our guide will be a tiny stream called Brusnice. It begins on the grounds of the ancient Břevnov Monastery in Prague 6 and runs eastwards through Břevnov, Střešovice, Hradčany and Malá Strana to join the Vltava just outside of the seat of the Czech government at Strakova akademie.
It is only about 5 km long but it connects many places of historical importance and natural beauty as well as gems of modern architecture.
For example “Jelení příkop” (The Deer or Stag Moat), a lovely green oasis under the Prague Castle which two parts are connected by an impressive foot tunnel and the picturesque Nový svět (New World) neighborhood.
To get more cardio workout, we will follow Brusnice upstream, from its confluence with Vltava near Malostranská metro to its source at the Břevnov Monastery.
We should complete the walk by 13:00, and, as usual, I’m going to book a restaurant for lunch.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium
About 7 km with 200 meters / 650 ft of vertical gain, some potentially slippery cobbled stones and stairs.
MEETING POINT
We will meet at 10:00 in the “Respirium” outside of the Malostranská Metro A station. If you can not find the group, call Filip at +420 739 370 212.
Please note that trams are currently not running between Újezd and Malostranská!
BRING WITH YOU
Comfortable walking shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. An umbrella or raincoat if rain is expected.
